The Ultimate Waffle Breakfast Bowl Recipe

We’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but in the morning scramble to get out the door and on our way, eating a healthy and delicious breakfast can often become an afterthought. This week's recipe, taken from Bentgo Salad's free ebook Fun & Healthy Salad Guide, looks to change that by giving you a nutritious on-the-go option for making breakfast a priority. 

Ingredients

1 waffle, chopped

1 small banana, sliced

1 tbsp. pure chocolate chips

1/4 cup raspberries

1/4 cup blueberries

1/4 cup blackberries

1/4 cup almonds, sliced

 

Dressing:

Maple syrup to taste

1 tsp cinnamon powder

Optional shredded coconut 

 

Instructions:

Place fruit, nut and chocolate toppings in the top compartment tray of Bentgo Salad. Store the waffle in the bottom bowl. When ready to eat, warm the waffle and the dressing in the microwave. Mix together with the toppings and enjoy!
