A Good Day Starts with a Good Breakfast

Picture this: You're sleeping soundly in your warm, cozy bed when suddenly...*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*.
You hit snooze a few too many times just to get a bit more sleep, but in reality, 30 minutes have gone by.
"Oh, shoot! I'm going to be late to that 8am meeting!" You jump out of bed, attempt to brush your teeth while putting on your socks, and continually look back at the clock as if you were watching a tennis match. Time suddenly feels like it's going by way too fast, but you make it to your meeting with one minute left to spare.
"Phew, I did it!" Time now seems to be moving a little slower. It's now only 8:15am, and you realize your meeting is an hour long and you're starving! Your boss asks, "Does anyone have any questions at this point?" No one says anything because their still half asleep, and somehow your stomach sees this as the prime time to speak up. *GROWL* Everyone turns to look at you, and you laugh nervously for a few seconds too long. Sound familiar?
Yep. Been there. Done that.
Waking up can definitely be hard to do, so finding something that motivates you and makes it easier to get up in the morning is key. Plus it can help you avoid being nicknamed "The Growler" in the office; we all know Dwight would give Jim an even worse nickname if that had actually happened in an episode of The Office, but I digress...
One major thing that motivates me to get up on time is knowing that a nourishing and delicious breakfast is waiting for me. Cue the Bentgo Bowl! There's nothing better than enjoying a leisurely breakfast that's been prepped the night before; my favorite as of late is a yogurt bowl with all the fix-ins.
The night before, I spoon in a layer of yogurt and plop on a few berries so that all I have to do in the morning is add a bit of crunch. This morning's bowl consisted of @smarisorganic Icelandic yogurt, blueberries, sunflower seeds, @kitchfix honey pecan granola (#grainfree #paleo), and a sprinkling of ground cinnamon. I have a feeling today's going to be a good, nickname-free day!
